Short Comic

hey hey... Do you know? hhhh...of course you don't know... last day...on Wednesday, I have task to creat a comic series consists 8 pictures about :
a. green school environment
b. healthy life styles
c. creative students

aaaarghh...*scream*
I can't make it...what must I do...? so, I was searching on internet and I find a helpful website to make a short comic... it's http://www.makebeliefscomix.com/ ... I can make a comic for my task there... but, now... I'm confused to make the story... finally, I make it fast and not really maximal, I think...

Write a procedure text about “How to Operate Computer”. Your procedure text should be consisting the goal, materials, and steps. Consider the organization, vocabulary, grammar, and mechanics in producing your writing.

B.     The Expected Paragraph 

“How to Operate a Computer”

 For beginners may find difficulties how to operate a computer. Do the following guides are basic computer operation which can be easily be mastered. The guides have been formatted for more simple and applicable to follow it.

Kinds of Materials is Needed:

·         CPU

·         Monitor

·         Keyboard

·         Mouse

·         Active Speakers

·         Printer

·         Operating System

Here are the steps to operate a computer:

1.      Before plug of  powering up the computer system, make sure that the power cable connected to the back panel of the CPU and is plugged into the electric socket.

2.      Make sure the video cable is already connected to the video card correctly into the back of the panel.

3.      Make sure both devices are the mouse and keyboard are mounted on the rear panel to the right. Because if one is installed then the port can not enter. For steps 1 to 3 is basically very easy to do because in addition to the mouse and keyboard devices, other components can only be plugged into the appropriate port in order to prevent novice users from installation errors.

4.      When everything is plugged in securely, then press the power button on the CPU is usually located on the front panel of the CPU.

5.      The computer will display the Windows logo and displays the desktop image

6.      Once the desktop image appears then the computer is ready to operate

The proper way to shut down or turn off the computer system is by clicking on the ‘Start’ button and choosing the ‘Turn Off Computer’ option. This will display the options to ‘Standby’, ‘Restart’, or ‘Turn Off’ the CPU.

Definition
Procedure text is a text that explain how something works or how to use instruction / operation manuals e.g. how to use the video, the computer, the tape recorder, the photocopier, the fax.  The goal of the procedure text is to instruct how to do a particular activity e.g. recipes, rules for games, science experiments, road safety rules.

2.      The generic structure of Procedure Text:

a.         Goal (purpose or goal)

b.         Material Needed (material / equipment / materials required)

c.         Methods or Steps (Method / steps) Note: In the procedure text in the form of How-to (“Anyway titled how to”), sometimes the material needed (materials needed) not included

3.      The generic features of Procedure Text:

a.       Use of imperatives (cut, don’t mix)

b.      Use of action Verbs (turn, put, mix)

c.       Use of connectives (first, then, finally)

d.      Use of adverbial phrases (for five minutes, 2 centimeters from the top)

4.      How to write a Procedure text:

a.       Set a goal, decide the aim.

b.      States the purpose of the text : how to make..., how to write...

c.       Mention the materials used or needed.

d.      Explain the steps to achieve the goal.
